Please see our lodging page and use these hotels. All are VERY nice places, serve breakfast and are offering a GREAT discount for TOC wrestlers, coaches, parents, and friends! Some hotels are closer than others but all are easy to get to and within 15 minutes of Del Oro HS. Mention the TOC to get the rate when calling or use the links provided on the lodging page.

$30 PER WRESTLER. No "team" discounts are given. Entry fees are paid at weigh in.

Who
Middle School/Junior High students in 6th,7thor 8th grade ONLY. Wrestlers MUST qualify to enter the TOC. Please carefully read and follow the qualification information below. Each team or club may not enter more than 2 qualified wrestlers in any weight class. If you have more than 2 in a weight that have qualified you need to move them.
Coach Pass
Coaches' passes will be given depending on number of wrestlers entered from your team. Extra passes FOR COACHES ONLY, NOT PHOTOGRAPHERS, will be available for $10 each. All passes and extra passes will be distributed at Del Oro on Friday night and Saturday morning before the tournament. No coaches' passes are available at other weigh in sites.

Weight Classes
70, 76, 83, 89, 95, 100, 103, 108, 112, 116, 122, 128, 135, 142, 153, 168, 185, 205, 235.
(No one over 235 lbs may wrestle) There is a 2/10 weight allowance because all wrestlers will weigh in wearing a singlet. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER IN THE WEIGHT CLASS THAT YOU QUALIFIED IN BUT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE YOUR WEIGHT CLASS AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE – MARCH 6 **
If you need to change your weight after the entry deadline you may do so until Thursday, March 8 @ 6pm for a fee of $20 (payable at weigh) .After March 8 there will be NO weight changes allowed. When making weight class changes be aware that only 2 wrestlers max per team may enter in any one weight class.
Weigh In

All athletes will weigh in in a wrestling singlet.
Everyone will weigh in on Friday evening at one of the 4 weigh in sites - no Saturday weigh in!
All entry fees will be paid at weigh in.
Friday, March 9@ 4 sites – map/directions
1. 6:00 - 8:00 PM Ponderosa HS (Shingle Springs – Hwy 50)
2. 6:00 – 8:00 PM Elk Grove HS, Elk Grove, Ca (Hwy 99 just south of Sacramento)
3. 6:00-7:00 PM Hogan HS, Vallejo
4. 6:00-9:00 PM Del Oro HS ( tournament site just off Hwy 80)

You may weigh in at any of the sites. All sites will have master entry list You do not have to weigh in with your team but you MUST pay to weigh in You are allowed to "work out" to make weigh but note the weigh in closing times. If you miss weight you will be dropped from the tournament with no refund. Wrestlers will NOT be moved up a weight class if they miss weight.

All wrestlers are pre registered by online registration form. Registration opens February 26 and closes on Tuesday, March 6th @ midnight. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. All entry fees will be paid at weigh in. Make checks payable to "Georgetown Wrestling Club".

IMPORTANT: Make sure of wrestler's weight class before entering. Weight class changes are not allowed after entry deadline of March 6 @ midnight. If you must change a weight after that time you may do so until March 8 for a fee of $20. After March 8 @ 6 PM you may NOT change a weight class.

Rules Clarification

High school rules generally apply with a few exceptions.
1. Headgear is MANDATORY and mouthpieces must be worn with braces.
2. Freestyle uniforms may be worn.
3. All rounds are 1 minute with consolation :45, 1,1. 5. Wrestlers with braces must wear mouthpieces
4. Wrestlers may wrestle up to a total of 8 matches in the tournament. .
5. Skin disease rules are in effect. Any wrestler with a skin disease will be removed from the tournament unless a doctor's note is presented that verifies that the disease is non-communicable. Check your wrestlers for ringworm and impetigo.
6. Personal medical insurance coverage is required for each wrestler

Qualification Procedures

All of the following must be met to be eligible to participate in the TOC

1. 1. Athletes must be in 6th,7th or 8th grade and attend school in California north of the city of Tehachapi (Kern County) and the Cuesta grade/Santa Margarita ( San Luis Obispo County)
AND meet all of his/her school's academic and citizenship eligibility requirements even if entering under a club team and not a school team.
2. Athletes are limited to THREE total years of TOC competition regardless of grade in school.
3. Athletes must enter as a member of a school or viable club team and are not allowed to enter ‘unattached”.
4. Once a wrestler qualifies he/she may enter in any weight class.
5. 5. A club or All Star team may enter wrestlers from different schools who have qualified but they will not necessarily be separated on the bracket. A limit of 2 qualified wrestlers from any club or school may be entered per weight class. Three in a weight is NOT allowed.
6. 6. In addition to the above, all athletes must qualify for the TOC by ONE of the following:

- Returning place winner from previous TOC
- Placing in the listed qualifying tournaments for the 2011-12 season (Varsity level). The place required to qualify in any qualifying tournament is determined by the number of wrestlers in each particular wt class.

1-4 wrestlers = 1 qualifier 5-7 wrestlers = 2 qualifiers 8-12 wrestlers = 3 qualifiers 13-18 wrestlers = 4 qualifiers 18-30 wrestlers = 5 qualifiers 30+ wrestlers = 6 qualifiers. Exception: Heaviest wt in tournament 1-2 wrestlers=1 qualifier , 3-4 wrestlers = 2 qualifiers 5-6 wrestlers = 3 qualifiers 7-11 wrestlers = 4 qualifiers 12+ wrestlers =5 qualifiers

- Area represented. We will ensure that all areas of Northern California are represented in the TOC. To the best of our ability top wrestlers from the same area (regions) will be separated on the bracket.

Qualifying Tournament Information
