2. Freestyle uniforms may be worn.
3. All rounds are 1:30 minute with consolation 1,1,1..

4. Overtime is High School rules with adjustment for 1 1/2min rounds
5. Wrestlers may wrestle up to a total of 8 matches in the tournament. .
6. Skin disease rules are in effect. Any wrestler with a skin disease will be removed from the tournament unless a doctor's note is presented that verifies that the disease is non-communicable. Check your wrestlers for ringworm and impetigo.

7. Personal medical insurance coverage is required for each wrestler

Qualification Procedures

All of the following must be met to be eligible to participate in the TOC

1. Athletes must be in 6th,7th or 8th grade and attend school in California north of the city of Tehachapi (Kern County) and the Cuesta grade/Santa Margarita ( San Luis Obispo County)
AND meet all of his/her school's academic and citizenship eligibility requirements even if entering under a club team and not a school team.
2. Athletes are limited to THREE total years of TOC competition regardless of grade in school 2. – some athletes may have been retained in middle school so therefore this rule.
3. Athletes must enter as a member of a school or viable club team and are not allowed to enter ‘unattached”.
4. Once a wrestler qualifies he/she may enter in any weight class.
5. Wrestlers from the same school or club will be separated on the bracket. However, If more than 2 qualified wrestlers from any club or school are entered in a weight class we cannot guarantee separation on the bracket.
6. In addition to the above, all athletes must qualify for the TOC by ONE of the following:

- Returning place winner from previous TOC
- Placing in the listed qualifying tournaments for the 2015-16 season (Varsity level). The place required to qualify in any qualifying tournament is determined by the number of wrestlers in each particular wt class. Exceptions are Santa Clara County and CVYWA Masters where 4 wrestlers per weight class are qualified for TOC and Sac Regional where 5 qualify.

1-3 wrestlers = no qualifier 4 wrestlers = 1 qualifier 5-7 wrestlers = 2 qualifiers 8-12 wrestlers = 3 qualifiers 13-18 wrestlers = 4 qualifiers 18-30 wrestlers = 5 qualifiers 30+ wrestlers = 6 qualifiers. Exception: Heaviest wt in a tournament 1-2 wrestlers=1 qualifier , 3-4 wrestlers = 2 qualifiers 5-6 wrestlers = 3 qualifiers 7-11 wrestlers = 4 qualifiers 12+ wrestlers =5 qualifiers

- Area represented. We will ensure that all areas of Northern California are represented in the TOC. To the best of our ability top wrestlers from the same area (regions) will be separated on the bracket..

Qualifying Tournament Information

Separation/Seeding on Bracket: Wrestlers are ranked within their respective Region ( 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 ) according to W/L record and placing in TOC qualifying tournaments throughout the season and then separated on the bracket from each other accordingly. We use seeding plans similar to the high school state tournament to separate top ranked wrestlers so numbers 1 and 2 ranked wrestlers in any particular region may appear in the middle of the bracket.

Entries that are not accepted for any reason will be notified by Thursday, March 9 via the phone or email contact that is listed on the entry form..
