March 13, 2010 (All wrestling will take place on Saturday, March 13 and ALL weigh ins will take place on Friday, March 12, 2010.)
• Doors open: 8am
• Coaches meeting: 8:30am
• Wrestling Starts: 9am
• Finals: Approximately 6pm
Entry Fee
$25 PER WRESTLER . Pay entry fee at weigh in. No one is allowed to weigh in until entry fee is paid. Entry fee is NOT refunded if wrestler does not make weight.

Coach Pass
In an effort to keep entry fee from increasing we are NOT providing a coaches’ lunch. You will need a pass to access the matside. Passes are provided dpending on number of entries per team. Extra passes may be purchased for $7.
Awards
1ST Place : Custom Trophy and “Champion” Hat . 2nd – 8th Place : Custom Medals
No outstanding wrestler awards will be given.
Weight Classes
70, 76, 83, 89, 95, 100, 103, 108, 112, 116, 122, 128, 135, 142, 153, 168, 185, 205, 235
(No weight allowance is given. No one over 235 may wrestle)
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER IN THE WEIGHT CLASS THAT YOU QUALIFIED IN - BUT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE YOUR WEIGHT CLASS AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE (MARCH 9, 2010)
Weigh In

Everyone will weigh in on Friday evening at one of the 4 weigh in sites - no Saturday weigh in!
All entry fees will be paid at weigh in.
Friday, March 12 @ 4 sites – map/directions
1. 6:00 - 8:00 PM Ponderosa HS (Shingle Springs – Hwy 50)
2. 6:00 – 8:00 PM Elk Grove HS, Elk Grove, Ca (Hwy 99 just south of Sacramento)
3. 6:00 – 9:00 PM Del Oro HS, (tournament site just off Hwy 80 )
4. 6:00-7:30 PM Springstowne Middle School, Vallejo, CA 94591 (2833 Tennessee Street)

You may weigh in at any of the sites. All sites will have a master entry list
You do not have to weigh in with your team but you MUST pay to weigh in.
You are allowed to “work out” to make weight but note the weigh in closing times at each site. If you miss weight you will be dropped from the tournament with no refund. You MAY NOT change your weight class after March 9, 2010.

Registration

We must receive all entries between March 1st and March 9th. No wrestler will be allowed to enter the tournament unless he/she is pre-registered by email registration form PRIOR to the deadline March 9, 2009. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. All entry fees will be paid at weigh ins. Make checks payable to “Georgetown Wrestling Club”. All wrestlers who enter must pay an entry fee. No refund for no shows.

IMPORTANT: Make sure of your wrestler’s weight class before entering. No weight class changes can be made after the entry deadline, March 9. Wrestlers WILL NOT be moved up a weight class if they miss weight. No weight allowance is given.
REGISTRATION IS ONLINE ONLY
Registration deadline is Midnight March 9, 2009

Registration forms may be accessed from March 1st until midnight Monday, March 9th.

Rules Clarification

High school rules generally apply with a few exceptions.
1. Headgear is MANDATORY.
2. Freestyle type singlets may be worn.
3. High School overtime rules with adjustment of time (1 min. rounds)
4. Consolation matches are :45, 1, 1

5. Wrestlers with braces must wear mouthpieces
5. Wrestlers may wrestle up to a total of 8 matches in the tournament. Minimum forty-five minute rest between matches.
Skin disease rules are in effect. Any wrestler with communicable skin disease will be removed from the tournament unless a doctor’s note verifying non communicable skin disease is presented. Check your wrestlers for ringworm and impetigo.

Qualification Procedures

All of the following qualification criteria must be met in order to participate in the Northern California Tournament

1. Athletes must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade, attend school in California north of the city of Tehachapi (Kern County)and north of the Cuesta grade/Santa Margarita (San Luis Obispo County) AND meet all of his/her school’s eligibility requirements even if entering under with a club team and not the school team.
2. Athletes are limited to THREE total years of TOC competition regardless of grade in school.
3. Athletes must enter as a member of a school or viable club team and are not allowed to enter ‘unattached”.
4. Once a wrestler qualifies he may enter in any weight class.
5. A club or all star team may enter wrestlers from different schools who have qualified but they will not necessarily be separated on the bracket. Seeding of wrestler will determine placement on the bracket.
6. All athletes will be entered into the tournament based on the following criteria as determined by the TOC staff:

- Returning place winner from previous TOC
- Placement in the listed qualifying tournaments 2009-10 school year (Varsity level only)
- Area represented . We will ensure that all areas of Northern California are represented and will attempt to separate wrestlers from the same area on the bracket.
